Daisy Jane came to us highly recommended by her high school. A sweet, smart girl she dreamt of either becoming a teacher or an architect.
The day before we were to enroll her in college, we called her and her father for a last minute meeting. A few days before, she told us she’ll go to Teacher’s College, but we sensed a look of uncertainty in her. At the meeting we asked her what is really her passion…teaching or planning and building. Shyly, she answered, planning and building…. Architecture. The only reason she opted for teaching is that she didn’t want the ministry to spend lots of money on her.
Daisy Jane passed the National Board Exam for Architecture and now is currently employed as project contractor by and international construction and development company creating self-contained communities in Cebu city.
“I am so happy with my choice…structures of different shapes and sizes always intrigued me even when I was a little girl,” says Daisy Jane.
Always strong in her faith with God, “Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Ps. 25:4-5, Daisy Jane’s favorite Bible verse.
